The Solution For Boredom

When I was younger, I had no real mission.

Boredom was a frequent part of my life.

Then I joined the U.S. Army Infantry. Suddenly, I had a mission and dire consequences if I didn’t achieve it.

Boredom nearly disappeared entirely.

A few years later, I was honorably/medically discharged from the Army.

I was a Ronin.

I had no master… my mission had been taken from me.

It took some time to realize I had to explore my own life and ideals to discover my own mission. And even after I realized it… I took some more time to even get started.

But once I did, the boredom started to disappear again.

I now have a variety of things I’m committed to (my own mind and body rank highly on that list)… and I can find action to take on them at virtually any time.

If you don’t have anything meaningful to do, then you can very easily be bored (and you should never be bored the same way twice… prepare).

Three Step Solution:

  1. Select an easy activity for your body (such as pushups).
  2. Select an easy activity for your mind (such as reading).
  3. As soon as you think you might be drifting toward boredom, pick an activity and do it.

keep smiling,

Mack
